7 year-old Aadhya Arvind Shankar has won the Peace Image Of The Year as part of the Global Peace Photo Award in the children’s category. Her photograph was titled “Lap of Peace” which depicted her mother in the lap of her grandmother. She is also the first India, in either the child or adult category, to have won this award.
Maggie Shanon of the United States won the € 10000 Global Peace Photo Award – Peace Image of the Year 2021 in the adult category. The award was presented on 21 September on the International Day of Peace in the Austrian Parliament in Vienna.
