After Continous Rise In Oil Prices, Commerical LPG Price Rose By ₹250/Cylinder From Today

On March 31st the government doubled the price of natural gas which is used to produce electricity, turned into CNG, and piped to household kitchens for cooking.

The prices of the commercial Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) – used by commercial establishments – were on Friday hiked by ₹250 per cylinder.

Apart from this the price of the 19kg commercial cooking gas cylinder in new Delhi went up to ₹2,253 and will be effective from today, April 1st. In Kolkata it will cost ₹2,351, in Mumbai and Chennai the prices will be  ₹2,205 and 2,406 respectively.

On the other hand there have been no changes in the prices of domestic gas cylinders that are sold to households. The prices of domestic cooking gas prices were last revised in March when a hike of ₹50 per cylinder was announced.

Earlier the fuel prices were raised of petrol and diesel by 80 paise per liter each on Thursday, netting and increase of about ₹6.40 a liter in nine revisions in 10 days so far.
