After Maharashtra, Building Collapses In MP, 2 Dead

Incessant rains continue to wreak havoc in all parts of the country. After Raigad building collapse in Maharashtra, two people were killed after a two-storey house collapsed in Madhya Pradesh’s Dewas district. Ten people have been rescued from under the debris.

The deceased include a ten-month-old child and a 23-year-old woman while one injured has been referred to Indore.

The incident occurred in the Red Gate area of ​​the city Kotwali of Dewas where a two-storey house suddenly collapsed at around 5 pm on Tuesday. The rescue operation is over.

Meanwhile, the Madhya Pradesh CM office tweeted that the Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan has expressed condolences on the accident and ordered Rs 8.95 lakh ex-gratia to the bereaved family.

According to the Dewas police, the house belongs to an auto driver named Zakir Sheikh who lived with his four brothers and their families, the men, however, were not present in the house when the incident took place.
