Anna Hazare To Sit On His 'Last Protest' From Jan 30 In Support Of Farmers

Social activist Anna Hazare may sit on his last protest fast from January 30 amid the growing agitation against the farm laws.

Two days ago, a BJP delegation including former Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis met Anna Hazare. Fadnavis and Hazare met in Ralegaon Siddhi, where both of them discussed the objection raised by Hazare on agricultural laws. During this time, Funavis urged Hazare not to sit on his last hunger strike.

Anna Hazare announced in December that if the government does not withdraw the agricultural laws, he will go on a hunger strike and this will be his last protest. He criticised the government's attitude towards farmers. Hazare had said that the government is only making hollow promises, due to which trust in the government has been lost. Anna also reiterated his demand that the government should implement the Swaminathan Commission report.

Anna Hazare said that he is watching how the government responds to these demands. The government has a month. If the government does not listen to him in this one month, he will start a hunger strike from the end of January which will be his last strike.
