Assam's Kaziranga National Park, Famous For Its One-Horned Rhinos, Reopens To Tourists After Nearly 8 Months

The Kaziranga National Park and Tiger Reserve (KNPTR), famous for its one-horned rhinos, reopened on Wednesday for tourists after being shut for nearly 8 months following the coronavirus lockdown.

The Kaziranga Park was officially reopened by Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal Wednesday morning. Currently, only jeep safaris are allowed and the elephant safaris and other activities will start from November 1.

Wearing masks, using hand sanitisers and follwing social distancing norms will be a must for all visitors, the park authorities said.
