Put into bat first, Australia post a mammoth 208/4 in 20 overs. For the visitors, Maxwell smashed a cracking 70 from 31 balls and captain Aaron Finch's scored 69 off 44 balls.
In reply, New Zealand were bowled out for 144 runs. Ashton Agar took six wickets for Australia.
