Only two days are left before the first phase of voting begins in the Bihar Assembly elections. Today is the last day to hold election campaign rallies. Before that, the Rashtriya Janata Dal leader and CM candidate Tejashwi Yadav said that inflation is a big issue during the polls. BJP workers used to wear garland of onions to protest, he said.
Yadav said, 'The price of Onion is going to reach Rs 100/kg. Unemployment, starvation, poverty is rising while the number of small traders is declining. We are going through an economic crisis.'
Those who were speaking about onion when it touched Rs 50-60/kg are now silent when it has crossed Rs 80/kg. Farmers are being destroyed, youth is unemployed, Bihar is poor and people are migrating for education, jobs & medical help. Starvation is on a rise: Tejashwi Yadav, RJD https://t.co/m7B3WpiRXr

He further said, 'Those people who used to speak when the price of onions reached Rs 50-60 are silent on when the prices have reached Rs 80 rupees today. Farmers are devastated, youth are unemployed, Bihar is poor and people are migrating for education, jobs and medical aid. Starvation is increasing.'
