Actor Bobby Deol and producer-director Prakash Jha have been served notice by the Jodhpur Court in connection with the case filed against web series 'Ashram'. The next hearing of the case will be on January 11.

Both Season 1 and Season 2 of the Ashram web series were very popular with the audience. However, objections were also raised on the web series for hurting the sentiment of one religion.

In the past, a case was filed by a lawyer from Jaunpur citing it hurt the sentiment Sanatan Dharma on the series. According to the lawyer, the 'Ashram' has been described as a sacred place for sages and sages to live in Sanatan Dharma, but the series presents the wrong image of the ashram.

Actor Bobby Deol has played the character of Baba Nirala of Kashipur in the web series, while its story has been woven around drugs, rape, genocide and politics.
