Calcutta High Court Partially Eases Its 'No-Entry' Order For Durga Puja Pandals

The Calcutta High Court on Wednesday uplheld its previous order to make Durga Puja pandals in West Bengal a "no-entry zone" for the general public but eased the cap on the number of people, associated with the organising committee, allowed inside the pandals.

The court, however, said Sindoor Khela, a traditional game in which women play with vermillion, can not be allowed in the times of a pandemic.

The Calcultta High Court on Monday had ordered that barring members of the puja organising committee, no one will be allowed to enter the premises of the pandals.
