Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said that the Center has not paid GST dues for the last four months.
He said, 'The central government has not yet given us the GST dues of Rs 2,300 crore. We are not getting money for the last four months. Tomorrow (Thursday) is the meeting of the GST Council, till now no agenda has been stated by the Center. If tomorrow it is decided that compensation will not be given to the states, then the situation will get worse.'
On Thursday, the Central Government has called a meeting of the GST Council. The states believe that the central government is trying to eliminate GST arrears. State governments say that if this happens, the economic crisis on the states can deepen.
