Partho Dasgupta, former BARC CEO and accused in the TRP scam case, has been admitted to JJ Hospital late Friday due to poor health. He is currently placed on oxygen support in the ICU.
Partho Dasgupta has been accused of executing the TRP scam along with Republic TV chief Arnab Goswami. So far 15 people have been arrested in this case. The CEO of the Republic TV was also arrested in this case.
According to a newspaper, Mumbai Police has filed a supplementary charge sheet in the TRP scam on 11 January. It has also included the purported WhatsApp chat of Arnab Goswami and Partho Dasgupta. In this, Arnab Goswami is allegedly assuring Dasgupta to help him on behalf of the PM. Goswami purportedly went on to say that "all the ministers are with him."
Arnab Goswami declined to comment on the matter and there was no response from the Prime Minister's Office either.
