The Samyukta Kisan Morcha (SKM) has made some announcements regarding its future course of action after the repeal of the three contentious farm laws was announced two days ago by PM Modi in a morning address to the nation.
Next SKM Meeting On November 27 To Decide Future Course
The farmers’ movement will assess the situation and continue the agitation until the three agricultural laws are actually repealed in the parliament in this winter session as promised by the Prime Minister.
Rakesh Tikait will reach Uttar Pradesh on Monday to assess the preparations for the mahapanchayat (grand assembly) that has been scheduled for tomorrow, Monday. The march to Parliament at the end of the month will also go as slated, according to the farmers’ body.
Call For Assemblies, Tractor Rallies On Nov 26
November 26 will mark the first anniversary of the agitation against the three agricultural laws brought in by the Union government, passed in Parliament in September 2020. The occasion will be marked by tractor rallies across the country. The SKM also plans to send 500 farmers every day to Parliament during the Winter Session from November 29.
