Karnataka: Congress Accuses CM Yediyurappa And Family Of Corruption, Demands Resignation

Accusing the BJP-led Karnataka government of corruption, former Chief Minister and Congress leader Siddaramaiah has sought the resignation of state Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa. Siddaramaiah has alleged that the Chief Minister's son, son-in-law, and his grandson had allegedly demanded a bribe of crores of rupees from the municipal development agency BDA.

The accusation comes after the sting operation of a Kannada TV channel came out. Siddaramaiah alleged that, 'Chief Minister Yediyurappa and his family demanded a bribe of Rs 12 crore in the Rs 666 crore BDA project.'

‘We demand an inquiry under the supervision of the Supreme Court Judge or the Chief Justice of the Karnataka High Court. Chief Minister Yediyurappa should resign or be sacked by the BJP to ensure impartiality in the investigation.'
