PM Modi’s new Cabinet has 42 per cent Ministers with Criminal Cases

As per a report by the Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR), following the reshuffle of the Union cabinet, 42 per cent ministers have criminal cases against them, out of which 4 ministers have cases of murder attempts.

Using the election affidavits, the ADR showed that 33 ministers out of the 78 have declared that there are criminal cases against them. 24 ministers have stated that there are serious criminal charges against them such as murder, attempt to murder or robbery.

Apart from these, almost 90 per cent ministers are millionaires. This means that they have assets worth 1 crore. The average worth of assets per minister in the union cabinet is around Rs 16.24 crore.
