Ranji Trophy All Set To Begin From February 16 To March 5

According to a new schedule prepared by the BCCI, the Ranji Trophy league stage will take place from February 16 to March 5.

The BCCI was compelled to postpone the country's major domestic event due to an increase of COVID cases. It was originally set to begin on January 13th.

Since the Ranji Trophy final in March 2020, there has been no red ball cricket in India.

Domestic players were overjoyed when BCCI secretary Jay Shah revealed last week that the red ball tournament will be split into two parts, as compensation for the Ranji Trophy cancellation last season.

The structure has been changed, and there will be eight groups of four teams each, with six teams in the plate group.

Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Thiruvananthapuram, Cuttack, Chennai, Guwahati, Hyderabad, and Rajkot are possible locations for the 38-team tournament.
