Uttarakhand HC Orders CBI Probe, FIR Against CM Trivendra Singh Rawat Over Corruption Allegations

The Uttarakhand High Court has ordered an FIR and CBI investigation against the chief minister of the state, Trivendra Singh Rawat over corruption allegations. CM Rawat, who was then in charge of the Jharkhand BJP, is alleged to have taken a bribe from AS Chouhan in 2016 to make him the chairman of the Gau Seva Commission

Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat was accused by a journalist of the local news channel 'News Plus'. An FIR was also filed against the journalist over this, which the High Court has ordered to quash.

Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat will challenge the decision of the High Court in the Supreme Court. His media adviser said that the High Court's decision would be respected and things will be clear after questioning.
