Youtube Suspends Donald Trump's Channel For Seven Days

YouTube on Tuesday said it has suspended Donald Trump’s channel as it violated policies for inciting violence after last week’s mob rampage on the U.S. Capitol by the president’s supporters.

Trump’s channel is now barred from uploading new videos or live streams for a minimum of seven days, which may be extended, the Alphabet-owned company said in a statement.

Trump supporters stormed the US Capitol on Wednesday, in a failed attempt to halt the certification by Congress of President-elect Joe Biden’s election win.

Scores of tech companies have already booted out President Trump from their platforms as the call for stricter action against hate speech grows louder.
