CRISIL Cuts India’s GDP Growth Forecast To 6.3%

Credit rating agency CRISIL cuts India’s GDP growth estimate for FY19-20 for the second time in a month to 6.3% from an earlier 6.9%

This comes after the GDP growth was at its slowest in almost 6 years and grew only at 5 percent in the first quarter.

Earlier, CRISIL had lowered its GDP growth estimate from 7.1 percent to 6.9 in the month of August.

The agency has said that lower GDP growth forecast is a signal that India's economic slowdown is deeper and more broad-based than suspected.
