Delhi’s Khan Market has been ranked 20th among the most expensive markets in the world, said a report of global property consultants Cushman and Wakefield.

In the report titled ‘Main Streets Across the World 2019’, it has been revealed that in terms of rent, Delhi’s Khan Market is ranked 20th among the world’s most expensive markets.


According to the report, Hong Kong’s Causeway Bay is ranked first on this list with a rent of Rs 1,97,070 per square foot.

The annual rent in Khan Market is $243 i.e. Rs 17,445 per square foot. Last year, it was on the 21st spot and the rent was Rs 17,014. This year, it has jumped one spot. This ranking is based on the most expensive rent for the second quarter of 2019.

This is the same Khan Market about which PM Modi had said that there is a ‘Khan Market Gang’, which triggered extensive discussion on social media. This had not gone down well with the shopkeepers of Khan Market.
