No Respite: Fuel Prices Hiked For 12th Consecutive
Oil companies continue to hike fuel prices even on the 12th day. On Thursday, petrol was raised by 53 paise per litre and diesel by 64 paise per litre.

After the revised rates, a litre of petrol in Delhi cost Rs 77.81, while diesel is at Rs 76.43. Earlier on Wednesday, the oil companies had hiked petrol by 55 paise and diesel by 69 paise.


Apart from Delhi, the price of petrol in Kolkata is Rs 79.59 and the price of diesel is Rs 71.96 per litre. One litre of petrol in Chennai cost Rs 81.32 and diesel at Rs 74.23. Similarly, petrol in Mumbai cost at Rs 84.66 per litre and diesel at Rs 74.93 per litre.

Petrol-diesel prices have continuously been hike since June 6. And in these 12 days, petrol has so far risen by Rs 6.53 per litre and diesel by Rs 7.04 per litre. Amidst the arbitrariness of the oil companies and the tax collection of the State governments, the common man has been hit the most.
