Retail Inflation Rises To 7.35% In December
Aggravating the economic slowdown, Retail inflation rose to 7.35% in December from 5.54% in November, highest since July 2014, government data showed on Monday.

That breached the Reserve Bank of India’s upper-limit target to keep inflation in the range of 4% with a margin of 2% on either side.

Vegetable inflation in December 2019 surged to 60.5% as against 36% in November. 

As per the government data, the food inflation rose to 14.12% in December as against (-) 2.65% in December 2018 and 10.01% in November 2019.
