Film Celebs Join PM Modi's Light-A-Candle Initiative
Paying heed to PM Modi's call to light 'diyas' and candles as a display of national solidarity in a fight against coronavirus, several film celebrities joined the illuminating event at 9 pm on April 5.
Rajinikanth, Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, R. Madhavan, and Alia Bhat among others lit candles at 9 pm for 9 minutes.
“The light from the lamps will show that we are together in this battle,” PM Modi said. "The Nation stands strong and together. This too shall pass. We will overcome." wrote R. Madhavan on his IG handle.
