Netflix Offers Free Viewing Of Bard Of Blood's Pilot Episode

The OTT platform Netflix has come up with a novel way to increase the number of its subscribers in India. But it remains to be seen how successful this will prove to be.

OTT platform Nextflix is coming out with its original series titled ‘Bard of Blood’. Through this, Netflix is also coming up with a new method to increase the number of its subscribers. 

Usually, in order to watch any Netflix series, having its subscription is necessary. But to watch the first episode of this new series, there is no need for any subscription. Which means that for a limited period of time, you can watch its first episode, without logging in, by going to the Netflix homepage.

It’s being said that through this series, Netflix is conducting an experiment and if it succeeds, then it will also be incorporated in the forthcoming series.

Netflix has also done this in several other countries, apart from India. Last month, viewers in Mexico and Colombia could watch an episode of ‘Elite’ series free of cost.

Meanwhile, Netflix is not the first platform to have tried this approach. YouTube has also adopted this practice in the past. Currently, Netflix has 1.2 million subscribers in India.

‘Bard of Blood’ released on Netflix on September 27. It has been produced by Red Chillies Entertainment. A spy thriller, it stars Emraan Hashmi in the lead role.
