Rajinikanth Mania Marks 'Darbar' Release
South superstar Rajinikanth’s film ‘Darbar’ has been released on January 9 and soon after its release, it is garnering headlines on social media.
The extent of the mania for Thalaiva among his fans can be gauged from the fact that fans had been standing outside theatres to buy tickets for the last two days in a bid to watch the first-day first show of the movie.
In Tamil Nadu, the film’s screening began at 3 a.m. While some of Rajinikanth’s fans cut a cake outside the theatre, others turned up in his get-up to watch the film. In view of the long queues, the state government has given permission for special shows of the film to be screened on January 9, 10, 13 and 14. Fans are terming the film ‘Darbar’ a masterpiece on social media and it is being liked a lot among fans. This is the first time that A R Murugadoss and Rajinikanth have worked together. After a long time, Rajinikanth appears in the role of a police officer in this film, which has been released in 7,000 theatres around the world. In India, it has been released in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi languages on 4,000 screens. There is unprecedented mania for Rajinikanth in the South. While some fans offered special prayers for the success of this movie, others ate food straight off the floor, without using plates.
