'War' & 'Joker' Smash Box Office Records In First 5 Days

This week saw the release of two big films, Hrithik Roshan-Tiger Shroff’s ‘War’ and Jaoquin Phoenix-starrer ‘Joker’. Both films have performed very well in just the first five days. 

On October 2, the Hindi film ‘War’ and Hollywood film ‘Joker’ were released, and both films are scripting history at the box office. 


According to the website Box Office India, the film ‘War’ earned Rs 51 crore 50 lakh on the very first day and broke all previous records. Its second-day collection was Rs 22 crore 50 lakh and the third-day collection was Rs 21 crore. On the fourth day, ‘War’ earned Rs 27 crore 50 lakh and on the fifth day, it netted Rs 36 crore. This means that in the first five days, the film had a total collection of Rs 158 crore 50 lakh.

Meanwhile, on the first day, the film ‘Joker’ earned Rs 5 crore 25 lakh; on its second day, it made Rs 3 crore 25 lakh; on the third day, it brought in Rs 3 crore 75 lakh; the fourth day recorded a collection of Rs 5 crore 25 lakh and on the fifth day, it earned Rs 5 crore 50 lakh. Thus, the film’s earnings in the first five days stood at Rs 23 crore. ‘Joker’ earned $40 million on the very first day in American theatres. Its total worldwide collection for the opening weekend stood at $234 million.
