Delhi-NCR Gasping For Air, AQI Crosses 900+ Again
Pollution in Delhi-NCR has now reached ‘very serious’ level. On Monday, the Air Quality Index (AQI) in many areas crossed 900.

Due to the incidents of stubble burning constantly rising in Punjab and Haryana, air pollution has now reached very dangerous levels in Delhi-NCR. The situation can be assessed from the fact that on Monday, the AQI in many areas has crossed 900.


On Monday morning, in Delhi’s Lodhi Road area, PM 2.5 was at 703 and PM 10 was at 609. In Delhi’s Chandni Chowk area, PM 2.5 was at 457 and PM 10 was at 351. In Delhi airport area, PM 2.5 was at 763 and PM 10 was at 700. In Noida, PM 2.5 was at 720 and PM 10 was at 690.

Earlier, on Sunday evening, P.K. Mishra, Principal Secretary to PM Modi 

and Rajiv Gaba, Cabinet Secretary, held a meeting with officials from Punjab, Delhi, and Haryana in light of growing pollution in Delhi-NCR.

In Delhi, around 300 teams have been deployed to improve conditions.

Meanwhile, after Delhi, all schools in Ghaziabad, Noida, Greater Noida, Gurugram and Faridabad have been closed till November 5
