The people of Meghalaya are also suffering due to the destruction caused by the Brahmaputra river in Assam. In the western Garo Hills district, floods have washed away many villages and killed at least five people. According to an estimate, more than one and a half million people have fallen prey to this flood in this district. Home Minister Amit Shah tweeted that the deaths due to flooding in the Western Garo Hills are disturbing. He has also spoken to the State Chief Minister Konrad Sangma.
Agartala, the capital of Tripura, another state in the northeast, has been flooded due to which the movement has come to a standstill. The Meteorological Department has also issued a rainfall alert for the next three days in the state.Loss of lives due to the floods in West Garo Hills, Meghalaya is very disturbing.

At least 19 people have lost their lives in the Hindi belt of the state of Bihar due to floods and falling electricity. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert for East and West Champaran, Gopalganj, Vaishali, Sitamarhi and Darbhanga. The water level in Bagmati river and Gandak river is rising dangerously. Water has entered the residential areas in the capital Patna and Muzaffarpur. In Saharsa, the Kosi river is flowing above the danger mark. Due to the continuous release of water from Nepal, the risk of flooding is increasing in many districts of UP. In Barabanki, the Saryu river is flowing above the danger mark, then the water level of the Kuda river in Siddharth Nagar has increased considerably. In Pithoragarh, Uttarakhand, at least 5 people have died due to rain and landslides. In Pithoragarh, many houses have fallen due to cloudburst. Amid heavy rains in Haridwar, lightning fell on Har Ki Pauri in the early hours of Monday and many walls collapsed. According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rain is expected in some areas of Dehradun, Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, Chamoli and Tehri.Bihar: Several parts of Sitamarhi affected due to floods. The Meteorological Department estimates that Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Uttar Pradesh may receive rain in the next two days.
