SC Lambasts Centre & States Over Air Pollution In Delhi-NCR

The Supreme Court on Wednesday came down heavily on Centre and states over their failure to curb air pollution in Delhi-NCR.

"Whole of north India, NCR is suffering from the issue of air pollution," said CJI Ranjan Gogoi.

CJI led bench of the Supreme Court took suo moto cognisance of the issue of air pollution affecting many parts of North India.

"In our view, little constructive efforts have been made by govt and other stakeholders to find solution to the problem" CJI added. 

SC  directed the government to assess the feasibility of Hydrogen based fuel technology.
