COVID-19: 194 Deaths And 6,566 Cases In 24 Hours, Cases Cross 1.58 Lakh
The fourth phase of the lockdown is about to end, but the coronavirus cases continue to spike.
Over the last 24 hours, 194 deaths and 6,566 new cases were reported across the country, according to the latest data of the Ministry of Health.
The numbers take the nationwide total to 158,333 cases and the death toll to 4,531. Meanwhile, the number of active cases have exceeded 86,000, nearly equal to France’s cases. With this, India has overtaken Turkey in terms of COVID-19 deaths while the active cases are almost equal in both countries. The biggest challenge before the Central and State Governments is the forward-looking strategy amid the growing COVID-19 infections.
