COVID-19: Biggest Single-Day Spike Of Over 17,000
Records tumble with over 17,000 cases of Coronavirus were reported in the last 24 hours — the country’s largest single-day spike so far — and 407 deaths were registered in the same period.

After the new figures, total infections in the country have mounted to 490,401 while the death toll has gone past 15,000.


With the increase in COVID-19 testing, the cases are also being detected rapidly.

ICMR figures show that on June 25, 215,446 samples were tested across the country, while the total tests conducted so far has increased to 7,776,228.

The infection continues to spread in other countries of the world. According to the latest data from Johns Hopkins University, the number of infections worldwide will reach 10 million, while the death toll is close to 500,000.
