Despite all kinds of restrictions, the number of coronavirus patients in the country keeps increasing. According to the latest data from the Health Ministry, 37,336 people have contracted the contagion so far and 1,218 people have died.

In the last 24 hours, a record 2,293 coronavirus patients have been found and there have been 71 deaths.

In Delhi, 3,515 cases have been reported so far. Over here, the number of containment zones had reached 101 but now, four containment zones have reduced. Among them are East Delhi’s Mansara Apartment, Vardhman Apartment, Mayurdhwaj Apartment and the E-Block of East of Kailash.

In Delhi’s Azadpur wholesale fruit and vegetable market, 15 traders have contracted the coronavirus. Fruits and vegetables to Delhi are supplied from this market.

Two medical teams have been deployed here to manage the situation. A crowd of hundreds of people was seen at this market on Saturday morning.

Meanwhile, a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) battalion in Delhi has been badly-hit by the coronavirus contagion. According to the CRPF, the total number of jawans who have contracted the coronavirus has reached 127.

While one jawan has died so far, one has recovered.

Meanwhile, strict measures have been stepped up several notches at the Delhi-Gurugram border for the prevention of the infection.

Even journalists, police personnel and doctors have been stopped from entering through this border. Movement from one place to another in Gurugram is also prohibited.

Earlier, the Central government had announced implementation of the third phase of the lockdown on Friday evening.

This time, some concessions have been granted on the basis of zones. People will have the most convenience in Green Zones, where buses will operate to enable their movement. Apart from this, liquor and ‘paan’ shops will also open here.
