COVID-19 Cases Near 28,000, Death Toll 872
The havoc wreaked by the coronavirus in the country keeps worsening. According to the latest data of the Health Ministry, 27,892 people have been hit by the coronavirus in the country and the death toll stands at 872.

In the past 24 hours, 1,396 new cases have come to light and 49 people have died.


According to the new figures, in Maharashtra 8,068, in Gujarat 3,301, in Delhi 2,918 and in Madhya Pradesh 2,096 people have contracted the coronavirus. 

After Mumbai, the coronavirus contagion has spread in several hospitals in capital Delhi as well.

In Delhi, after the Delhi State Cancer Institute, Babu Jagjivan Ram Hospital and Bara Hindu Rao Hospital, 29 doctors, nurses and paramedics of the Baba Saheb Ambedkar Hospital have tested positive for the coronavirus.

Similarly, a nurse posted at Delhi AIIMS’ Institute Rotary Cancer Hospital and a security guard at the OSD’s office have tested positive for the coronavirus.

Amid this, Varsha Joshi, Commissioner, New Delhi Municipal Council, has said that the Bara Hindu Rao Hospital will be reopened after being sanitised. According to Joshi, Casualty, Emergency, Flu Clinic and three OPDs will be opened.
