The situation is deteriorating rapidly in the national capital Delhi where the cases have exceeded Mumbai’s tally. According to new figures, there are now more than 70,000 cases in Delhi while in Mumbai this figure is close to 69,000. Due to an increase in the number of patients, there is an atmosphere of panic in Delhi's hospitals. There is also growing spar between the Centre and the Delhi government over 5-day mandatory institutional quarantine instead of home quarantine for COVID-19 patients. The Delhi government says that it is difficult to arrange institutional quarantine for such a large number of coronavirus patients, but the silence of the Central Government remains intact on the decision of LG Anil Baijal. Deputy CM Manish Sisodia and CM Arvind Kejriwal are repeatedly appealing to change the decision. It is believed that if this decision is not changed, then there will be a confrontation between Delhi and the Central Government, which will affect the people struggling with Coronavirus.418 deaths and highest single-day spike of 16,922 new #COVID19 positive cases reported in India in last 24 hours.
