COVID-19: Highest Single-Day Spike of Over 22,000 Cases, 442 Deaths
Since the lockdown has been lifted, cases of coronavirus have gained momentum and new records are being created every day. Now in the last 24 hours, a record of 22,771 new COVID-19 patients were found across the country while 442 people died. According to the Ministry of Health, now the total number of patients in the country has gone up to 6,48,000 whereas 18,655 people have died.

According to new figures, 1,92,000 in Maharashtra, 1,02,000 in Tamil Nadu, 94,000 in Delhi, 34,000 in Gujarat, and more than 25,000 patients in Uttar Pradesh have been found. With the increasing number of patients in these states, the health structure is getting more strained every day.
At the same time, according to IMCR, more than 95 lakh people have been tested in the country till July 3. In the last 24 hours, a record of 2,42,000 people were tested for COVID-19. It is being said that in the coming days the testing capacity will be increased so that more and more coronavirus patients can be detected.
