COVID-19: India Now Seventh Worst-Affected Nation,
India has become the seventh worst-affected by COVID-19 pandemic globally after surpassing Germany and France.

Total cases stand at 190,535 cases, of which 91,819 are active while the death toll has reached 5,394, according to the Health Ministry’s latest bulletin.


For the second consecutive day, over 8,000 cases have been reported across the country. On Saturday, the country had registered 8,389 cases and 193 deaths.

On Sunday, 8,392 cases were found across the country with a death toll of 230.

Italy, Britain, Spain, Russia, Brazil and America are now above India in the global list of coronavirus affected countries.

Despite Lockdown being one of the most effective ways to prevent the COVID-19 spread, cases continue to spike in the Lockdown period from March 24 to May 31.

At the end of the fourth phase of lockdown, more than 8,000 cases are being reported every day and now the lockdown is almost lifted except for the containment zones.
