COVID-19: Over One Lakh Cases Found In Just Four Days, 2,000 Deaths

More than one lakh new COVID-19 cases have been reported in four days in the country amidst a huge increase in coronavirus cases. According to the new figures of the Health Ministry, a record of 27,114 new cases were found in the last 24 hours while 519 people died. After the new data came out, the total number of infected patients in the country has increased to 8,20,916. At the same time, the total number of deaths has increased to 22,123.

Statistics show that in just four days, 1,01,261 patients surfaced while 1,963 succumbed to the Wuhan-originated virus. On July 7, 22,252 news cases were reported with 467 deaths. 22,752 cases were reported on 8 July, 24,879 on 9 July, and 26,506 cases on 10 July.

Many states have had to bring back the lockdown due to increasing cases of infection. In Uttar Pradesh too, a two-day lockdown has been implemented from 10 pm since Friday night. This ban will continue till five in the morning on Monday. At the same time, the situation is getting worse in Delhi. The total number of patients in Delhi has reached 1,09,000.
