COVID-19: Records Tumble With Nearly 9,000 New Cases And 217 Deaths

Records tumbled with nearly 9,000 new cases and 217 deaths reported over the past 24 hours across the country, as per the Health Ministry’s latest bulletin.

The latest numbers bring the nationwide total in the country to 207,615 cases and while the death toll has exceeded above 5,800. Meanwhile, the number of active cases has exceeded one lakh.

Marking the biggest jump in coronavirus cases by far on Tuesday, more than 8,000 cases are being reported on a daily basis for the last four days.

If the infection continues to rise at this rate, then Italy will be left behind in the next three days where the coronavirus’ total count is around 233,000.
