Delhi Witnesses Resurgence Of Covid-19 Cases, Spik
The national capital is witnessing a resurgence of the novel coronavirus cases. In the early week of July, on average, more than 2,000 new cases were coming to Delhi every day, but by the end of July and early August, new cases started declining. But once again Covid-19 cases in Delhi are catching pace.

In the last 24 hours, 1,192 new patients have surfaced in the capital which is the second major surge in the last five days. Earlier, 699 new patients were reported on 6 August, 1,076 on 5 August, 674 on 4 August, 805 on 3 August and 961 on 2 August.

Along with the increase in the number of new patients, daily deaths due to coronavirus are also increasing. According to the data, 23 infected patients died in Delhi in the last 24 hours, which is the highest in the last five days. Apart from this, 15 infected patients died on 15 August 6, 11 on 5 August, 12 on 4 August, 17 on 3 August and 15 on 2 August.

However, ramped up testing could be a factor behind the rise. Statistics show that on August 7, a maximum of 23,385 tests was done in which 1,192 patients were found. 20,436 Delhites were tested on 6 August, 16,785 on 5 August, 9,295 on 4 August, 10,133 on 3 August, 12,730 samples on 2 August.

This ongoing rise in coronavirus cases suggests that the government’s claims are in place but the threat has not been postponed in Delhi.
