India COVID-19 Cases Cross 13,000, Mumbai And Delh
The number of coronavirus patients in the country has crossed 13,000, with Delhi and Mumbai being the worst-affected by the virus spread.

According to the Health Ministry,1,007 new patients were found in the past 24 hours, bringing the cases to 13,387. Meanwhile, the death toll from the coronavirus stands at 437.


While 11,201 active patients are being treated in hospitals, 1,749 people have been discharged from hospitals.More than 2,000 coronavirus patients have been found in Mumbai alone and this figure has crossed the 3,000 mark in Maharashtra. The death toll in Maharashtra has reached near 200.

In capital Delhi, 1,600 coronavirus cases have been found so far and 38 people have died. The number of hotspots in Delhi has reached 60.

Meanwhile, Madhya Pradesh was witness to a coup d’etat during the coronavirus crisis. With 1,300 cases coming to light, the situation appears to be out of control here.

According to the Home Ministry, the coronavirus crisis has deepened in the country’s metro cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Kolkata. All these cities have been placed in the Red Zone.

Citing government sources, news agency PTI has written that a large number of Indians in foreign countries have also fallen victim to the coronavirus. PTI states that 3,336 Indians have contracted the coronavirus in 53 countries and 25 of them have died so far.
