India COVID-19 Cases Cross 1.5 Lakh, Death Toll At 4,337
The number of coronavirus cases in the country has crossed 1.5 lakh and death toll is at over 4,300.
Over the past 24 hours, 6,387 new cases and 170 deaths were reported across the country, according to the latest data of the Ministry of Health. The latest numbers raise the national total to 151,767 cases and 4,337 deaths.
The gap in COVID-19 cases between India and Turkey has drastically reduced. India is just short of 8,000 cases than Turkey, with a nearly equal death toll in both countries. While Turkey has 32,858 active cases, India’s active cases stand at 82,172. In the fourth phase of the lockdown, the Central and State governments have eased restrictions due to which there is a danger of spike in infections. The World Health Organization has warned of a second wave of COVID-19 in the way the lockdown is being relaxed worldwide. Watch the video story here:
