India COVID-19 Cases Nears 53,000, Death Toll Crosses 1,780
The number of coronavirus patients in the country is increasing expeditiously. According to the latest Health Ministry data, 52,952 people have been infected so far and the death toll is 1,783.
A record increase is being registered in cases of infection with the beginning of the third phase of the nationwide lockdown.
More than 10,000 coronavirus patients have been found across the country in the last three days. According to the Health Ministry, the biggest spike in the number of coronavirus patients was registered on May 5, when a record 3,900 cases were found. Similarly, 2,958 cases of the contagion had come to light on May 6. The Health Ministry has released new figures on May 7, according to which, 3,561 new coronavirus cases have been found across the country. Therefore, 10,419 new cases have been found in the last three days. After the exponential rise in the number of coronavirus patients, questions are being asked about what will happen once the lockdown ends on May 17. Watch the video story here:
