The pace of the coronavirus attack in the country is increasing. According to the latest data from the Health Ministry, 773 new patients have been confirmed in the past 24 hours.

Due to this infection, 35 deaths have also been registered in the past 24 hours. Among them is a 14-month-old child from Gujarat’s Jamnagar.

According to the Health Ministry, the total number of coronavirus patients in the country has now reached 5,194. Among them, while 4,643 are active cases, 149 people have succumbed to this illness.

Apart from this, 401 people have been discharged from the hospital after treatment.

It’s being said that if cases of infections keep increasing in this manner, then it will become very difficult for Central and state governments to end the lockdown on April 14.

Amid this, Delhi’s L-G Anil Baijal has appealed to people to stay at home on the occasion of Shab-e-Barat and offer prayers for the safety of their family members.

The Sunni Waqf Board and Shia Central Waqf Board have also appealed to people not to step out of their homes on Shab-e-Barat.

During this period, cemeteries and mosques will be closed and people will not be allowed to go there.

Similarly, preparations for the annual Karaga festival were underway at the Shri Dharmaraya Swamy Temple in Karnataka’s Bengaluru, which has now been cancelled after a High Court order.

The Karnataka High Court has imposed restrictions on any type of religious gathering in the state. CM BS Yeddyurappa has said that only four-five people will be present at the Shri Dharmaraya Swamy Temple during the festival.
