On The Rise: State-Wise Coronavirus Cases In India
The number of coronavirus patients in the country is on the rise. According to the latest data from the Health Ministry, 773 new cases have been reported across the country in the last 24 hours, after which the total number of active patients has reached 4,643.

So far, 401 people have recovered as well. The death toll in the country has now reached 149.

Here are state-wise figures:

The highest number of deaths (64) has taken place in Maharashtra, where 1018 cases have been reported and 79 people have recovered.

There have been 13 deaths in Madhya Pradesh and the number of patients there is 229.

In Gujarat, 13 people have died. A total of 165 cases have been reported here and 25 people have been discharged.

In Delhi, nine people have lost their lives due to the coronavirus so far. The total number of patients here is 576 and 21 patients have recovered as well.

In Tamil Nadu, 690 cases have come to light and while seven people have died, 19 patients have been discharged.

In Telangana, seven people have died. Over here, a total of 364 cases have been reported and 35 people have recovered as well.

In West Bengal, 99 cases have come to light. While five people have died, 13 patients have been discharged.

In Karnataka, four people have died. A total of 175 cases have been reported here and 25 people have recovered.

In Andhra Pradesh, four people have lost their lives due to the coronavirus so far. The total number of patients here is 305 and one patient has recovered as well.

There have been three deaths each in Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Haryana. In Rajasthan 328 cases, in Uttar Pradesh 326 cases and in Haryana, 147 cases have been reported.

Apart from this, there have been two deaths each in Kerala and Jammu and Kashmir. Odisha, Bihar and Himachal Pradesh have seen one death each.

The coronavirus has taken 31 states across the country in its grip so far and the number of patients is rising rapidly.
