State-Wise Break Up Of Coronavirus Cases And Deaths

The number of coronavirus cases has crossed 50,000 and the death toll stands at over 1,700. According to Health Ministry data at 8 am on Wednesday, the total number of coronavirus patients in the country has reached 49,391 and there are 33,514 active cases now. 

While 1,694 people have lost their lives so far, 14,182 people have recovered as well.

The highest number of deaths in the country has taken place in Maharashtra at 617, where 15,525 cases have come to light and 2,918 people have recovered too.

In Gujarat, 368 people have lost their lives due to the coronavirus so far. While 1,381 people have been discharged here, the total number of patients is 6,245.

In Madhya Pradesh, there have been 176 deaths. The total number of patients here is 3,049 and 1,000 patients have been discharged. 

In West Bengal, 140 people have lost their lives so far. While 364 people have recovered here, 1,344 people have contracted the coronavirus.

In Rajasthan, 89 people have lost their lives so far. While 1,525 people have recovered here, 3,158 people have contracted the coronavirus.

In Delhi, there have been 64 deaths. A total of 5,104 cases have been reported here and 1,468 patients have recovered.

There have been 56 deaths in Uttar Pradesh. Over here, 2,880 cases have been reported and 987 patients have recovered.

In Andhra Pradesh, there have been 36 deaths. The total number of patients here is 1,717 and 589 patients have been discharged.

In Tamil Nadu, 33 people have died. While 1,485 people have been discharged, 4,058 people are infected.

In Telangana, 29 people have lost their lives so far. While 1,096 people have contracted the virus, 585 people have recovered.

In Karnataka, 29 people have died, with 671 active cases and 331 recoveries.

There have been 25 deaths in Punjab. While 133 people have recovered here, the total number of patients is 1,451.

In Jammu and Kashmir, eight people have lost their lives so far. While 320 people have recovered as well, 741 people have contracted the coronavirus here.

Haryana has reported six deaths, 256 recoveries and 548 coronavirus cases.

There have been four deaths each in Kerala and Bihar. While 462 people have recovered in Kerala, 142 have been discharged in Bihar. Total cases stand at 502 in Kerala and 536 in Bihar.

In Jharkhand, three deaths have been reported with 125 cases and 33 recoveries.  

In Himachal Pradesh, there has been two deaths, 38 recoveries and 42 cases.

Apart from this, there has been one death each in Odisha, Assam and Meghalaya.

The coronavirus has hit 33 states across the country so far and the number of patients is increasing rapidly.
