State-Wise Break Up Of Coronavirus Cases And Deaths

The number of coronavirus patients keeps increasing. According to Health Ministry data at 8 a.m. on April 22, the total number of coronavirus patients in the country has reached 19,984 and the number of active patients is 15,474.

While 640 people have lost their lives so far, 3,869 people have recovered as well.

The highest number of deaths in the country (251) has taken place in Maharashtra. Over here, while 5,218 cases have been reported, 722 people have recovered.

In Gujarat, 90 people have lost their lives due to the coronavirus so far. While 139 people have been discharged here, the total number of patients is 2,178.

There have been 76 deaths in Madhya Pradesh. The total number of patients here is 1,552 and 148 patients have been discharged.

In Delhi, 47 people have died. Over here, 2,156 cases have been reported and 611 patients have recovered.

In Rajasthan, 25 people have lost their lives so far. While 230 people have recovered here, the total number of coronavirus patients is 1,659.

There have been 23 deaths in Telangana. Over here, a total of 928 cases have been reported and 194 patients have recovered.

In Andhra Pradesh, 22 people have lost their lives so far. While 96 people have recovered here, a total of 757 people have contracted the coronavirus.

In Uttar Pradesh, 1,294 cases have been reported. While 20 people have died here, 140 have been discharged as well.

In Tamil Nadu, 18 people have died. While a total of 1,596 cases have been reported here, 635 people have recovered as well.

In Karnataka, 17 people have lost their lives so far. While 129 people have recovered here, 418 people have contracted the coronavirus.

There have been 16 deaths in Punjab. Over here, 245 cases have been reported and 39 people have recovered.

In West Bengal, 15 people have died. While 73 people have recovered here, the total number of patients is 423.

In Jammu and Kashmir, five people have lost their lives so far. While 81 people have recovered, the total number of coronavirus patients here is 380.

There have been three deaths each in Kerala, Haryana and Jharkhand. In Kerala 427 people, in Haryana 254 people and in Jharkhand 45 people have contracted the coronavirus. While 307 people in Kerala and 127 people in Haryana have recovered, no patient has recovered in Jharkhand so far.

In Bihar, there have been two deaths so far. Over here, 126 cases have been reported and 42 patients have been discharged.

Apart from this, there has been one death each in Odisha, Himachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya due to the coronavirus.

The coronavirus has hit 33 states across the country so far and the number of patients is increasing rapidly.
