Lockdown has been imposed in parts of Beijing, the capital of China after seven new cases of the novel coronavirus surfaced. Cases of infection have been found in six major wholesale markets and seafood markets. The nucleic acid test is being conducted for all the people associated with these markets. Officials say that over10,000 people of the Shinfadi market will be investigated.

A corona patient was found in Beijing on Thursday and six new patients were found on Friday. Two of these infected patients work together at the Meat Research Center in Beijing. One patient returned to China's eastern province of Shandong for five days, while another patient has no travel history.

The infected patients, found after almost two months, have raised the concern of the Beijing administration. Officials associated with Beijing's health service said they have increased their vigil on shopping malls, vegetable markets, and entertainment spots. Apart from this, the monitoring of domestic passengers will be increased and imported goods will be closely examined.
