McDonald’s Fires CEO Over Relationship With Employee
Fast food giant McDonald’s has fired Chief Executive Steve Easterbrook for an ‘inappropriate relationship with an employee. While the relationship was ‘consensual’, the company has taken a strong stand. Earlier this year it had to face allegations of sexual harassment at the workplace.
In an email, Easterbrook wrote that “This was a mistake. Given the values of the company, I agree with the board that it is time for me to move on.” Easterbrook will be succeeded by USA President Chris Kempczinski, with immediate effect.
