UAE Extends Foreigners’ Visa And Work Permit For A
Countries around the world are battling the coronavirus pandemic but the situation in the UAE is returning to normal. The UAE government is now relaxing restrictions as infections decline. The new decision of the UAE has brought great relief to the citizens and tourists from other countries working there.

The United Arab Emirates has said that the duration of visas and other permits of foreign nationals will be extended for one month. For those whose permit or visa has expired, it has been decided to extend them by another month and this order will be applicable from August 11.

According to the central authority ICA on UAE identity and citizenship, after the decision people will be able to go back to their country easily. People will not be fined even after their visa and work permit has expired. The judgment said that the ICA appeals to all those who have valid documents to leave the country within the stipulated time frame which will help them to come to UAE again.

Most Indian citizens working abroad are in UAE. More than 25 lakh Indians live there who got a big relief from the UAE govt’s latest decision. As the restrictions on international flights are gradually lifted, the UAE has allowed Indian citizens to visit their country. Indian Ambassador to the UAE Pavan Kapoor said that he is delighted to see the notification of the Indian Ministry of Aviation, stating that any Indian or UAE flight can bring the Indian citizens holding a valid visa to the UAE.

The total number of COVID-19 cases in the UAE so far is 62,704. Out of which, 56,766 have recovered and returned home. The number of active patients in the UAE is 5,581 while 357 people have died. The UAE is one of the few countries in the world that has tested more than half its population and has managed to prevent the epidemic.
