US: Defiant Health Workers Face Anti-Lockdown Prot
People are opposing the coronavirus lockdown in Denver, capital of the state of Colorado in the United States. They are associated mostly with right-wing organisations and are demanding freedom from the lockdown.

But on Sunday, when these protesters took out a car rally, nurses from the city’s hospitals went and stood in front of their vehicles.

Nurses have repeatedly appealed to people to stay at home and follow social distancing norms. However, when people still took to the streets, nurses confronted them on the city’s intersections.

The protesters verbally-abused nurses and said that they should go to China, in exactly the same manner that right-wingers in India ask critics to go to Pakistan.

Meanwhile, in Colorado, the coronavirus has hit 9,700 people and the death toll stands at 422 so far.

In the US, seven lakh people have contracted the coronavirus and 41,000 people have succumbed to the ailment.

But right-wing groups are opposing the lockdown in several cities.
