100 Days Of Tihar Jail For Chidambaram
Former finance minister and Congress leader P Chidambaram, who is currently incarcerated in the Tihar Jail in the INX media money laundering case, is set to face a tough time ahead.
On Wednesday, in a huge blow to Chidambaram, the special court extended his custody till December 11. Chidambaram has been imprisoned in the Tihar Jail for the past 100 days in the INX media money laundering case.
After being denied bail by the Delhi High Court on Wednesday, Chidambaram went to the Supreme Court and asked if he is a criminal like Ranga-Billa. Apart from this, Chidambaram also claimed that he is being kept in jail only because he is the father of Karti Chidambaram, who is the main accused in the INX media money laundering case. Chidambaram said that there is not a shred of evidence against him to link him to this case. On Wednesday, Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra had reached Tihar Jail to meet Chidambaram. During the meeting, Chidambaram’s son Karti Chidambaram was also present.
